The most awaited Technology event is finally here! Gitex 2012
No matter whether you’re an IT professional working for a multinational company or a tech-savvy student residing in Dubai, you are certainly aware that the GITEX (Gulf Information Technology Exhibition) is one of the biggest annual electronics trade show in the Middle East region.
Every year, thousands of consumers and businesspeople fly from all over the world to visit this massive technological affair that takes place around September-October in Dubai. Not only does the event attract visitors from the Middle East, but also from the Northern Africa and the Indian subcontinent. In 2009, the GITEX Shopper was visited by over 150,000 people who represented 121 nationalities from around the world.
And this year is no different either. GITEX returns in September-October 2012 with more surprises, as the venue for GITEX Shopper has been shifted from Airport Expo to a new location. Like every year, there are two exhibitions held, which are the GITEX Shopper and GITEX Technology Week, and this year, both of them will be held in the Dubai World Trade Center.
If you are a tech-savvy consumer who loves to be in touch with the latest technology, but also wants to avail the best gadgets at the cheapest price, the GITEX Shopper is an event you definitely do not want to miss. The biggest retailers in Dubai all come together under one roof, offering you the latest phones, cameras, laptops, and much more in the most reasonable prices in the market. This year, the show dates are from 29th September to 6th October 2012. The entrance is for AED 30 which grants you a full day access to the exhibition that is taking place in the Sheikh Saeed halls.
On the other hand, if you are a business looking for advanced and innovative IT solutions for your company, you should check out the GITEX Technology Week exhibition that is also taking place in the Dubai World Trade Center. It is held from 14th October to 18th October 2012. This exhibition is focused more towards businesses that are looking for opportunities to increase their productivity and efficiency in their firms via technical solutions. There are hundreds of exhibitors this year that will be providing an array of services such as networking and security, mobile solutions, digital marketing solutions, cloud computing, and much more. Tickets are priced at AED 80 on the spot, but if you register online on their website you might save yourself a few bucks!
This year, we are also saved from the trouble of parking our own cars as the Dubai Metro is strategically located by the Dubai World Trade Center. No matter which exhibition you choose to go to, both are organized and run so exceptionally well, that it is a guarantee you will have a great time!
